DressArtMystery Family
DressArtMystery is a small, friendly and extremely productive family of seamstresses. Each girl has her own approach, unique skills and their own cute habits. And here is what the girls tell about themselves.
Meet Katheryna Novikova - the co-owner of the workshop, its soul and creative ideologist. Kate is our main designer and organizer.
✍️: What's your role in DressArtMystery?
👩: I am engaged in the design, development of structures, production management and organization of work processes.
👩: In this workshop, I'm since the establishing. My total designing and tailoring experience is more than 13 years.
👩: My dream is to expand DressArtMystery into other cities and countries. I dream of cooperating with the global film industry. I hope one day these dreams will come true.
👩: I like to create new and to be led by the idea that settles in my head and asks for embodiment. I adore seeing how a thought becomes reality.
I love making other people's dreams come true, making them happy and see how they transform by putting on a dress from their fantasies.
👩: I draw inspiration from travelling and nature. I sometimes can notice the future dress in the smooth edge of the rock or in the spire of the city hall.
Meet Ann Zagorodnya - the co-founder of the studio, strict and responsible, but at the same time, incredibly attentive to each client.
👩: First of all, I communicate with clients. I am also engaged in the textile and other materials searching, working process organization, costumes packing, and a lot of other routine boring work about which you usually don't think when sewing is just a hobby. I also organize photoshoots, work over new costumes creation and doing embroideries.
👩: I began tailoring more than 12 years ago. In DressArtMystery I'm since its origin.
👩: I love the opportunity to express concepts and thoughts in costumes. I like to select materials for orders, look for unusual laces & beads and see how customers are happy with their outfits.
👩: I wish to expand the range of embroidered costumes in stock and as the result - create a small embroidery workshop in our atelier. In the future, I would like to sew and embroider costumes for historical and fantasy films. At present moment I work on a few historical embroidered pieces
👩: - I love delicious food. А huge cup of latte with a cake is my island of escapism from the world for a short time.
- I like dancing. At present moment I mostly attend jazz dances club, but I enjoy visiting dance and historical events either.
- I adore birds. For the last 15 years, I have parrots. Because of my hair color, my friends often jokingly call me a flamingo.
- My other passion is travelling and antique collecting. Before pandemic I've been combining it with flea markets touring, where I look for various antique artefacts. It all started with antique lace and beads, then moved on to vintage jewelry and accessories. For example the oldest chatelaine I have, is approximately dated to the mid- end of the 18th century:)
Meet Svitlana Sorokolit , our strict and precise Dressmaker and excellent friend and colleague.

👩: I am a seamstress, technologist, deputy head of production
👩: I work with DressArtMystery for 6 years. My overall tailoring experience is more than 10 years.
👩: The final result. Besides, I like diversity, the opportunity to explore and solve the most difficult challenges. I get aesthetic pleasure looking at perfectly straight stitching. It is also very nice to receive feedback from people. Sometimes I even get goosebumps when I see our clients so beautiful and happy wearing our outfits❤️
👩: I've already got everything immaterial. Now it remains to earn money for material dreams. I want to keep up with the modern world, improve myself and get new knowledge and experience from people who've become an example for me.
👩: I am a diverse personality: the dark side is very close to me, but I adore everything cute and fluffy either. I also love nature, stones and different metals. I really enjoy travelling and planet exploring. And I can't imagine my life without bright socks and delicious food :)
Let us introduce you to Vira Lositska, an extremely charming and remarkably skilled master.
She clarified a couple of questions about herself and her work at our atelier:
✍: What's your role in DressArtMystery?
👩: I sew all pieces of your future dresses together add tiny lace details, huge panniers and never-ending ruffles. I make a lot of handmade embroideries, bead-work and hand-sewing, that makes your garment look so unique. Sometimes I also dye the laces to make them perfect for your costume.
✍: What is your tailoring experience?
👩: I work in DressArtMystery for 4 years already.
✍: What do you love the most about your job?
👩: I love to see our clients photo-reviews. It is very inspiring when you see how your work makes people from all over the world happy. So, please, if you have photos in Dress Art Mystery costumes, share them! It's incredibly rewarding!
✍: What are you dreaming of and striving for?
👩: Someday I'll own my private house with a large plot of land where I'll be able to keep as many animals as I want. Among others, there would be llamas, alpacas and sheep to make yarn from their wool. Furthermore, I'll make nice hats for them and they'll have a personal insta-blog if it's still a thing till then.
✍: Tell me some interesting facts about you?
👩: - I'm talking to your costumes. Oh yes, I tell them how incredibly beautiful they are, and how much pleasure they'll bring to their owners.
- I love plants. Sometimes I treat them like a person - each of my orchids has it's own name.
- I adore animals. Octopuses are amazing creatures so are spiders.
- Sometimes I come home from work, where I sew 8 hours a day, and ... I sew for myself! Seriously, I love it very much. Also I love to knit and crochet. I guess, I just can't keep my hands calm.
